A Career in Journalism

John St Loe Strachey became a very successful journalist. From 1887 to 1925, he was the editor of a famous magazine called The Spectator. Being an editor means he was in charge of what was published in the magazine. He also edited another magazine, The Cornhill Magazine, between 1896 and 1897. He was good friends with a diplomat named Sir Cecil Spring Rice, and they wrote many letters to each other over the years.
