John Lee, also known as John Threat, is an American computer expert and business owner. He used the name "Corrupt" when he was part of a famous computer group called Masters of Deception (MOD) in New York during the early 1990s.

The Great Hacker War

John Lee was involved in something called the Great Hacker War. This was a big rivalry between his group, MOD, and another group of computer experts called Legion of Doom. Because of his part in this "war," John faced serious legal challenges in 1992. He took responsibility for his actions and spent about a year in a special federal facility. His involvement in the Great Hacker War was even featured on the cover of Wired Magazine in 1994.

Early Life and Education

John Lee was born on July 6, 1973, in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in an area of Brooklyn called Brownsville. As a young person, he was part of a group called the Decepticons. This group was named after the bad guys from the popular Saturday morning cartoon Transformers.

John went to Stuyvesant High School, which is a very good school. After high school, he attended New York University. While he was in his first year at NYU, he had to take time away because of the consequences from the Great Hacker War.

Beyond Hacking: Film and Media

John Lee has also worked a lot in movies and television. He has helped with editing, producing, and directing different projects. In 2004, he started his own film company called Mediathreat, LLC. The next year, in 2005, he directed a documentary film about the music group Dead Prez, called "Dead Prez: Bigger than Hip Hop." In 2011, he also helped direct a music video for the band MAKE OUT with another director named Diane Martel.
