Sequana Joi Harris (December 11, 1976 – August 14, 2017) was an amazing American motorcycle road racer and stuntwoman. She made history as the first African American woman to get a professional license for motorcycle road racing. Joi started racing professionally in 2014. Sadly, she passed away in 2017 while performing a motorcycle stunt for the movie Deadpool 2.

Joi Harris: A Pioneer in Motorcycle Racing
Joi Harris loved motorcycles and wanted more women and African Americans to join the sport. She learned how to ride a motorcycle in 2009. By 2012, she was racing, and in 2013, she earned her official racing license.
Professional Racing Career
In 2014, Joi became a professional racer. This made her the first African American woman to race motorcycles professionally. She even started her own racing team called Threader Racing. Joi raced as #24.
In 2017, she competed in different classes on the CCS circuit. She even won a race that year. Joi was a true inspiration in the world of motorcycle racing.

In 2017, Joi Harris took on her first job as a stuntwoman. She was working on the movie Deadpool 2. Her role was to perform stunts for the character Domino, played by actress Zazie Beetz.
Tragic Accident During Filming
On August 14, 2017, while filming in downtown Vancouver, Joi was riding a motorcycle. During a stunt, she lost control of the bike and had an accident. She passed away at the scene.
