Joice Maduaka (born 30 September 1973) is a British track and field athlete. She is known for her fast running in the 100 metres and 200 metres races. Sometimes, she also competes in the 400 metres.
Joice Maduaka holds a special record in British athletics. She has won more medals than any other athlete at the British Athletics Championships. So far, she has earned 22 medals! This includes winning the 100 metres race six times and the 200 metres race three times.

Early Career and Commonwealth Games
Joice Maduaka started making a name for herself in athletics. She showed great talent in sprinting.
1998: First Commonwealth Medal
In 1998, Joice represented England at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She was part of the 4 x 100 metres relay team. Her team won a bronze medal, which was a fantastic achievement!
2000: Olympic Debut
Joice had the honor of representing Great Britain at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. This was her first time competing in the Olympic Games.
2002: Another Commonwealth Bronze
She competed in her second Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002. Once again, she helped her team win a bronze medal in the 4 x 100 metres relay.
2004: Second Olympic Appearance

2006: A Year of Big Changes
In 2006, there were many strong women sprinters in Britain. Joice faced tough competition from athletes like Abi Oyepitan. She was not chosen for the Commonwealth Games that year. Instead, she competed in the World Indoor Athletics Championships.
Later in 2006, Joice made an amazing comeback. She ran faster than ever before, setting new personal best times. She then represented Great Britain at the European Championships. She finished 4th in the 100 metres final. Her team also won a silver medal in the 4 x 100 metres relay.
That same year, Joice became the British champion in both the 100 metres and 200 metres races. She won by a large margin, showing her strength. By the end of 2006, she was the fastest British athlete in the 100 metres and the second fastest in the 200 metres.
2007: Continuing Success
In 2007, at the AAA Championships, Joice finished third in the 100 metres. She had to withdraw from the 200 metres final due to illness, even though she had won her heat easily.
At the 2007 European Cup, Joice had an incredible performance. She finished 2nd in the 100 metres and 1st in the 200 metres. She also helped the British relay team win first place. She earned 23 points for her team, which was the most any British athlete had ever scored at these championships!
Joice was chosen to represent her country at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics. She competed in the 200 metres and was part of the 4 x 100 metres relay team that finished 4th.
