Becoming an Artist
Jon Burgerman started his art journey in Bournville, Birmingham, England. He studied art foundation there. Later, he went to Nottingham Trent University and finished his fine art degree in 2001.
Cool Projects and Appearances
In 2008, Jon was a special guest on the popular BBC TV show, Blue Peter. That same year, he was part of an amazing art project called The Underbelly Project. Artists showed their work in an old, unfinished subway station deep under New York City. Imagine art underground!
Also in 2008, a big book about Jon's art was published. It was called Pens Are My Friends. Plus, a company called Kidrobot made a collection of 14 mini toy figures based on his characters. They were called "The Heroes of Burgertown"!
Art in Museums and Books
You can find Jon Burgerman's artwork in famous museums in London, England. These include the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Science Museum.

- In 2017, Penguin Random House published his first picture book, SPLAT!.
- Chronicle Books published It's Great to Create in 2017.

- Laurence King Publishing published two more of his books: Daily Doodle and a fun coloring book called Burgerworld.
In August 2017, The New York Times newspaper wrote about Jon. They talked about his fun Instagram stories and his book It's Great to Create. Later that year, a filmmaker named Bas Berkhout made a short film about Jon's art studio and his family story. It was called The Story of Jon Burgerman.
