Jonathan Lerman, born in 1987, is an amazing American artist. He is known as an autistic savant and an outsider artist. This means he has a special talent for art, even though he has autism. He was born in Queens, New York. Today, he lives in Vestal, a town in upstate New York.

When Jonathan was two years old, he started to become very quiet. At age three, doctors diagnosed him with autism. Autism is a condition that affects how a person communicates and interacts with others.

Jonathan's special artistic talent appeared when he was 10 years old. He started drawing faces using charcoal. These faces were of people he knew and also people he imagined. In 1999, when he was just 12, he had his very own art show. This show was at the KS Art gallery in New York City.

Jonathan Lerman has had many art shows where his work was featured alone. He has also shown his art alongside other artists. His unique drawings have been seen by many people.

He was also featured on a TV show called True Life on MTV. The episode was titled "True Life: I Have Autism." It showed what life is like for him as an autistic savant.
