Early Life and Dance Journey
Jonte' Moaning was born in Portland, Oregon, on October 9, 1982. He started dancing at a young age. When he was 13, he joined the Oregon Ballet Theatre. This was an important step in his dance training.
After finishing high school, Jonte' moved to New York City. There, he continued his dance studies. He trained with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, a very famous dance company.
Working with Music Stars
Jonte' has worked with many well-known musicians. In 2004, he was a backup dancer for Janet Jackson. This was during the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show.
He is perhaps most famous for his work with Beyoncé Knowles. Jonte' was a choreographer for her 2007 world tour, The Beyoncé Experience. He also created dances for several of Beyoncé's music videos. One of his notable works was for the song "Freakum Dress."
