Jonte' Moaning (born October 9, 1982, in Portland, Oregon), also known as Jonte', is an American choreographer, dancer, and singer. He is known for his amazing dance moves and for working with many famous artists.

Jonte' was born in Portland, Oregon. He started dancing at age 13, joining the Oregon Ballet Theatre. After high school, Jonte' moved to New York City. There, he trained with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, a very famous dance company.

Dancing with Superstars

In 2004, Jonte' performed as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson. This was during the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show, a huge event! He is most famous for working with Beyoncé Knowles. He was a choreographer for her 2007 world tour, The Beyoncé Experience. Jonte' also created dances for many of Beyoncé's music videos. A well-known one is "Freakum Dress."

Jonte' in Japan

Jonte' is also very popular in Japan. He first visited Japan in 2004 to teach dance workshops. Since then, he has choreographed for many big Asian pop artists. These include Jolin Tsai, Namie Amuro, Double, Wonder Girls, 2PM, Miss A, and T-ara.

Besides dancing, Jonte' appears on Japanese TV shows and in commercials. He has been in ads for Lotte Ice Breakers and Tokyo Mode Gakuen, a fashion school. He was also in a music video for the J-Pop group GReeeeN. This song was used for the anime shows Line Offline: Salaryman and Linetown. Many people in Japan recognize him from the end credits of the children's TV show Tensai Terebi-kun.

Jonte' has shared that he wanted to become a solo artist. He felt he could perform well on his own after working with other artists.
