Jordana Brewster (born April 26, 1980) is an American actress. She is well-known for her role as Mia Toretto in the popular Fast & Furious action movies.
Jordana started acting in TV soap operas like All My Children and As the World Turns in the mid-1990s. Her first big movie role was in the science fiction horror film The Faculty in 1998.
Her career really took off when she joined the cast of The Fast and the Furious in 2001. She has appeared in many of the sequels, including Fast & Furious (2009), Fast Five (2011), Furious 7 (2015), and F9 (2021). She has also starred in TV shows like Dallas and Lethal Weapon.

Early Life and Education
Jordana Brewster was born in Panama City, Panama, on April 26, 1980. She is the older of two daughters. Her mother, Maria João, was a swimsuit model from Brazil. Her father, Alden Brewster, was an American investment banker.
Jordana lived in London, England, for a while. When she was six, her family moved to Brazil. At age 10, she moved to Manhattan, New York City. She attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart and the Professional Children's School. In 2003, Jordana graduated from Yale University with a degree in English Literature.
Jordana Brewster's Acting Career
Starting Her Acting Journey
Jordana Brewster began her acting career in TV soap operas. Her first appearance was in an episode of All My Children in 1995. She then played Nikki Munson in As the World Turns from 1995 to 2001. For this role, she was nominated for an Outstanding Teen Performer award in 1997.
Her first movie role was in the 1998 horror science fiction film The Faculty. In this movie, she played a popular cheerleading captain. The film was a success, earning US$40 million in North America. In 1999, she appeared in the TV miniseries The '60s, playing a student activist.
Becoming a Movie Star

Jordana's big break came in 2001 with the action film The Fast and the Furious. She played Mia Toretto, a key character alongside Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Even though she didn't have a driver's license at the time, she took driving lessons for the role. The movie was a huge hit, making over US$207 million worldwide.
After this success, Jordana took a break from acting to finish her degree at Yale University. She returned to movies in 2004 with the action comedy D.E.B.S.. She also appeared in the drama Annapolis (2006) and the horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006). For her role in the horror film, she was nominated for two Teen Choice Awards.
Returning to the Fast & Furious Series
Jordana returned as Mia Toretto in Fast & Furious (2009), the fourth film in the series. Her character became tougher and more involved in the action. This movie was also a box office success, earning US$363 million globally.
She continued her role as Mia in Fast Five (2011), which changed the series from street racing to a big heist. This film was very popular, making US$626.1 million worldwide. She also appeared in Fast & Furious 6 (2013) and Furious 7 (2015). Furious 7 was especially important as it was the last film for Paul Walker, who sadly passed away during filming. Jordana returned again for F9 in 2021.
Television Roles
From 2012 to 2014, Jordana starred as Elena Ramos in the TV series Dallas, a new version of the classic show. She also had a role in the true crime series American Crime Story in 2016, playing Denise Brown.
From 2016 to 2018, she played Dr. Maureen Cahill in the buddy cop show Lethal Weapon. She also appeared in the crime drama Secrets and Lies in 2016.
Personal Life
Jordana Brewster met film producer Andrew Form on the set of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. They got engaged in 2006 and married in the Bahamas in 2007. They have two sons, Julian (born in 2013) and Rowan (born in 2016), both born via surrogacy. Jordana and Andrew Form divorced in 2021.
She later married ValueAct Capital CEO Mason Morfit on September 3, 2022, in California.
