Jordi Cruz Mas, born on June 29, 1978, in Manresa, Barcelona, Spain, is a famous Spanish chef. He is known as one of the top chefs in Spain. He leads the kitchen at the ABaC restaurant in Barcelona.
Becoming a Top Chef
Jordi Cruz studied at the Escuela Superior de Hostelería de Manresa. This is a special school for learning how to cook and manage restaurants. He started working in a restaurant called Estany Clar de Cercs in Barcelona when he was only 14 years old.
Earning a Michelin Star
In November 2004, when Jordi was just 26 years old, he received his first Michelin Star. This is a very important award for restaurants and chefs. It meant he was the youngest chef in Spain to get this award. He was also the second youngest chef in the whole world to achieve this honor at that time!
Jordi on TV
Since 2013, Jordi Cruz has been a judge on the popular TV show MasterChef (Spanish TV series). On this show, he helps find new cooking talent. He teaches and guides contestants as they compete to become the next MasterChef.
