Jorge Herrera Delgado (born August 16, 1961 – died November 24, 2014) was an important Mexican politician. He served as the Mayor of Durango from 2004 to 2007. He was also a representative (called a deputy) in the Durango State Congress two times. Later, he led the Durango Department of Education.

Jorge Herrera Delgado was born in Durango, Durango, Mexico. He studied at the Durango Institute of Technology. After finishing his studies, he became involved in politics. He was a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).

His Time as Mayor

Jorge Herrera Delgado was elected as the Mayor of Durango city. He served in this important role from 2004 to 2007. As mayor, he was in charge of running the city and making decisions for its people.

Serving in Congress
