Jorge Ordaz Gargallo was born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1946. He is a Spanish writer and a geologist. For many years, he lived and taught at the University of Oviedo.
As a writer, Jorge Ordaz Gargallo is well-known for his novels. Two of his most famous books are Prima Donna and La perla del Oriente. These novels were nominated for important Spanish literary awards. Prima Donna was nominated for the Premio Herralde, and La perla del Oriente was nominated for the Premio Nadal. Being nominated for these awards means his books were recognized as some of the best published in Spain.
