Jorge Vargas Gonzalez began his time as mayor of Pichilemu in 1997. He worked to lead the city for about ten years. During his time as mayor, he focused on local government and serving the community. His term as mayor ended in 2007.
Music Career
Beyond his work in politics, Jorge Vargas is also a talented musician. In 2004, he released his own music album. It was called Heredero de Tu Amor. The main song from this album, also named "Heredero de Tu Amor," became very popular. It was played often on many radio stations across Chile.
Since early 2008, Jorge Vargas has also managed a local radio station. This station is called Radio Somos Pichilemu. It helps to share music and news with the people of Pichilemu.
