José Martinez de Valdivielso (born May 22, 1934 – March 4, 2025) was a professional baseball player from Cuba. He was known as a shortstop, which is a key defensive position in baseball. José played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for parts of five seasons, from 1955 to 1961. He played for the Washington Senators and later for the Minnesota Twins.
