Starting His Career

Joseph Attieh was born in Batroun, Lebanon. He became famous when he was the first Lebanese artist to win the Arab version of Star Academy in 2005. This was a huge step for his music career.

In 2006, Joseph released his first song, "La Trouhy" (which means "Don't Go"). He also made a music video for it. This song quickly became a top seller in Lebanon and across the Middle East.

His second song, "Nahle" (meaning "A Bee"), came out in 2007. After that, he released "Habeit Oyounak" ("I Like Your Eyes"). He even sang this song during the final show of the fifth season of Star Academy. A music video was also made for this song.
