Josephville is a small village located in St. Charles County, Missouri, in the United States. It is about 35 miles west of the larger city of St. Louis. In 2020, the village had a population of 512 people.

Josephville's Story

Josephville got its start a long time ago. A post office opened there in 1875. This post office helped people send and receive letters. It stayed open for many years, until 1910.

The community was named after its very first postmaster, Joseph Wilmes. A postmaster is the person in charge of a post office.
