Joshua James Payne (born 25 November 1990) is an English footballer. He plays as a midfielder for Beaconsfield Town. Josh has played for many different teams throughout his career. These include well-known clubs like West Ham United, Oxford United, and Crawley Town.

Growing Up: Josh Payne's Early Life
Josh Payne was born on November 25, 1990. He grew up in a town called Basingstoke, England. During his school years, he went to Brighton Hill Community College in Basingstoke.
Josh Payne's Football Journey: Club Career Highlights
Josh Payne started his football journey in the youth academies of two big clubs: Portsmouth and Southampton. Later, he moved to West Ham United.
Starting Strong: West Ham and Early Loans
In the 2008–09 season, Josh was chosen to be the captain of West Ham's Under-18 team. But before playing for the main team, he joined Cheltenham Town on a short loan. He made his first appearance for Cheltenham on September 27, 2008, against Stockport County. In that game, he even scored a goal! After three months, he went back to West Ham.
Josh made his big debut for West Ham and in the Premier League on March 21, 2009. He came on as a substitute in a match against Blackburn Rovers.
Later, in October 2009, Josh went on another loan, this time to Colchester United. He played his first game for them on October 24, 2009, in a win against Walsall. He helped his team by winning a penalty kick that led to their winning goal. He played three games before returning to West Ham.
In January 2010, Josh joined Wycombe Wanderers on a loan. He scored a goal in his very first game for Wycombe on January 23, 2010, against Southend United. He returned to West Ham in February 2010. It was announced that his contract with West Ham would not be renewed after that season.
New Teams: Doncaster, Oxford, and Aldershot
On July 28, 2010, Josh signed with Doncaster Rovers after a successful trial. He made his debut for Doncaster in the League Cup on August 10, 2010. He scored his first goal for the club in that match.
Soon after, on August 31, 2010, Josh moved to Oxford United on a loan deal. This loan was extended, and he later signed a permanent contract with Oxford. He scored his first goal for Oxford from a free kick on October 23, 2010.
In January 2012, Josh joined Aldershot Town on loan, which later became a permanent move.
Moving On: Woking, Eastleigh, and Crawley Town
On June 24, 2013, Josh signed with Woking. He played in 95 league and cup games for Woking, showing his skill and dedication. After the 2014–15 season, he left Woking to join Eastleigh. He had a good first season with Eastleigh.
On May 26, 2016, Josh joined Crawley Town on a two-year deal. He made his debut for Crawley on August 6, 2016, in a win against Wycombe Wanderers. In October 2019, he went on loan to Ebbsfleet United, and this loan was extended until the end of the season. His contract with Crawley Town ended in 2020.
Recent Clubs: Ebbsfleet, Barnet, and Beaconsfield
After leaving Crawley, Josh signed a two-year contract with his former loan club, Ebbsfleet United, in July 2020. He then joined Barnet in July 2021. Josh left Barnet in January 2022. On March 1, 2022, he joined Hayes & Yeading United.
After playing for Maidenhead Cosmos in 2022/2023, Josh Payne signed with Beaconsfield Town for the 2023/2024 season, where he continues his football career.
