Early Racing Years
In 2010, Josh raced in the Formula Renault BARC series. He showed great promise, finishing 4th overall. That same year, he won the Formula Renault UK Winter Series – BARC Class. This was his first big championship win.
In 2011 and 2012, Josh continued to race in Formula Renault BARC. He finished 2nd in the championship both years. This showed he was a very consistent and fast driver.
GP3 Series Challenge
In 2013, Josh moved up to the GP3 Series. This is a higher level of racing, often a step towards Formula 1. He raced in 16 events that year. While he didn't score points, he gained valuable experience competing against top young drivers from around the world. His best finishes were two 16th places at his home race in Silverstone.
Porsche Carrera Cup Success
Josh found great success when he joined the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain in 2014. This series uses powerful Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. In his first year, he won 5 races and earned 17 podium finishes. A podium finish means he placed in the top three. He became the champion of the 2014 Porsche Carrera Cup GB. This was a huge achievement for him.
He also competed in the Porsche Supercup in 2014 and 2015. This is an international series that races alongside Formula 1 events.
Later Career Highlights
After his championship win, Josh continued to race in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. In 2015, he finished 3rd overall. He also raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany.
In recent years, Josh has continued to be a strong competitor. In 2019 and 2020, he finished 2nd in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship. He won 3 races in 2019 and 1 race in 2020. He also had many podium finishes in these seasons.
