José Guillermo Cortines (born December 5, 1973) is a talented Dominican actor and singer. He is known for his work in movies, TV shows called telenovelas, and musical theater. He has also been a TV presenter. José Guillermo is famous for his roles in shows like "El Rostro de Analía" and "Más Sabe el Diablo". He even hosted the Miss Dominican Republic 2002 and Miss Dominican Republic 2004 beauty pageants.

Early Life and Education
José Guillermo Cortines grew up in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. He went to Colegio San Judas Tadeo and "Centro de Enseñanza El Buen Pastor" for school. Later, he studied at Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU). In 1996, he graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and Publicity. He also took singing lessons with famous teachers like Frank Ceara.
Starting His Career
José Guillermo began his artistic journey playing guitar in rock bands. In the early 1990s, he started working in television. He hosted several TV shows, including "Sin la Muela en Vivo" and "Cocoloco Internacional." He also acted in popular TV mini-series like "Hasta que la Muerte nos Separe." He even appeared in a show called Paraíso, which was shown in Spain.
Becoming a Theater Star
In 1997, José Guillermo became very popular for his roles in theater plays. He played the main character, Tony Manero, in the musical Saturday Night Fever. He also performed in other well-known musicals like The Sound of Music and Grease. He continued to act in many plays, including La Bella y la Bestia and Los Miserables. In Los Miserables, he played the character Marius Pontmercy in 2008.
