Jozef Adamec (born 26 February 1942 – died 24 December 2018) was a famous Slovak football player and manager. He was known for being a powerful forward who scored many goals.

Adamec spent most of his playing career with Spartak Trnava, a club in Slovakia. He also played for other important teams like Dukla Prague and Slovan Bratislava. After his time in Czechoslovakia, he played for a smaller club in Austria called Slovan Wien.

Club Success

  • Spartak Trnava: Adamec played for Spartak Trnava for many years (1959–61, 1963–64, 1966–76). He helped them win the Czechoslovak First League five times in a row from 1968 to 1973. This was a golden age for the club.
  • Dukla Prague: He played for Dukla Prague from 1961 to 1963. During this time, he won the Czechoslovak First League title twice.
