Early Life and Music

Forming Sombrero Verde
In 1978, Juan Calleros teamed up with Fher Olvera and Fher's brothers, Ulises and Abraham. Together, they formed a band called Sombrero Verde. They played music for several years, building their skills and fan base.
The Birth of Maná
Sombrero Verde continued to play until 1985. In 1986, the band changed its name and became Maná. This new band included Juan Calleros, Fher Olvera, Alex González, and later Sergio Vallín. Maná quickly became one of the most popular rock bands in Latin America and around the world.
Juan Calleros has been a key member of Maná since the very beginning. He continues to play bass for the band, contributing to their unique sound and many hit songs.
