Juan Carlos García (born March 8, 1988 – died January 8, 2018) was a Honduran footballer. He played as a left back.
He started his football journey at Marathón. Later, he moved to C.D. Olimpia. In 2013, he joined Wigan Athletic. He was also loaned to CD Tenerife for a short time.
Juan Carlos García played for the Honduras national team from 2009. He played in over 30 international matches for his country. He was part of the Honduran team for three CONCACAF Gold Cup tournaments. He also played in the exciting 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Sadly, Juan Carlos García passed away on January 8, 2018. He was 29 years old. He died after battling a serious illness called leukemia.
