Juan Francisco Bulnes is a special area in Honduras. It is called a municipality. This area is part of the Gracias a Dios department.
In 2015, about 6,407 people lived in Juan Francisco Bulnes. The area has important water sources. These include the Abajo and Platano rivers. There is also a large body of water called the Ibans lagoon. Most towns in the municipality are found near these waters. Ibans is the biggest town. It is also where the only health center for the municipality is located.
