Juan Liscano Velutini (born July 7, 1915 – died February 17, 2001) was an important Venezuelan poet, folklorist, writer, and critic. He was known for his deep understanding of Venezuelan culture and his beautiful poetry. Liscano also directed a famous publishing house called Monte Ávila Editores. He won the National Prize for Literature in Venezuela in 1951, which is a very high honor for writers.
