What Was Judgment Day 2004?

Judgment Day (2004) was a major event where WWE superstars competed in exciting matches. These events are a big part of professional wrestling, where athletes combine sports and entertainment. Fans get to see their favorite wrestlers battle it out for championships and bragging rights. The show featured many popular wrestlers from the SmackDown brand, which is one of WWE's main shows.

Exciting Matches and Champions

Many different types of matches took place at Judgment Day 2004. Some matches were for championships, where wrestlers tried to win or keep their title belts. Other matches were just about proving who was the best. Here are some of the main matches that happened:

Tag Team Action

  • Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio vs. The Dudley Boyz: This was a thrilling tag team match. Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio teamed up against The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von). Tag team matches involve two teams of wrestlers, and only one wrestler from each team can be in the ring at a time. Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio won this exciting match.

Championship Battles

  • WWE Tag Team Championship: The champions, Charlie Haas and Rico, defended their titles against Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn. Charlie Haas and Rico managed to keep their WWE Tag Team Championship belts in this match.
  • WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Jacqueline was the champion, and she faced Chavo Guerrero (with Chavo Classic). Chavo Guerrero won the match and became the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. The Cruiserweight Championship was for lighter, faster wrestlers.

Major Superstar Showdowns

  • WWE Championship Match: The main event of the night was for the biggest title, the WWE Championship. The champion, Eddie Guerrero, faced John "Bradshaw" Layfield (JBL). This was a very intense match. Eddie Guerrero was disqualified, which means he lost the match because he broke a rule, even though he was still the champion. In wrestling, if a champion loses by disqualification, they usually keep their title belt.
