Judith Deborah Rakers (born January 6, 1976) is a German journalist and television presenter. She is well-known for her work on various news programs and for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest.

About Judith Rakers
Early Life and Education
Judith Rakers was born in Paderborn, which was in West Germany at the time. She grew up in a town called Bad Lippspringe with her father. After finishing high school, she went to the University of Münster. There, she studied journalism, communication, German language, and history from 1995 to 2001. While she was studying, she also worked as a radio presenter for local stations like Radio Hochstift and Antenne Münster.
Her Career in Television
Judith Rakers started her TV career in January 2004. She presented the Hamburg Journal for a local TV station called Norddeutscher Rundfunk. She did this until January 2010.
From July 2005 until January 2024, Judith was a familiar face on the Tagesschau news program on ARD. This is a very important news show in Germany. She also read the news on other shows like Tagesthemen, Nachtmagazin, and Morgenmagazin.
Besides news, Judith Rakers also presents a talk show called 3 nach 9 for Radio Bremen.
Hosting Eurovision
One of her most famous roles was on May 14, 2011. She hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany. She hosted this big international music event alongside Stefan Raab and Anke Engelke.
