Anke Christina Fischer (born 21 December 1965), also known by her maiden name Anke Engelke, is a famous German comedian, actress, voice actress, and television presenter. She is well-known for her funny roles and for hosting many popular TV shows.

About Anke Engelke
Anke Engelke was born in Montreal, Canada, in 1965. When she was six years old, in 1971, she moved to Cologne, Germany, with her German parents. From a young age, Anke showed a great talent for singing. She was discovered in 1978 when she was performing with her school choir.
Anke Engelke has three children. She was married to musician Andreas Grimm from 1994 to 2005. Later, she was married to musician Claus Fischer from 2005 to 2015.
Anke Engelke's Career
Anke Engelke started her career in television very early. From 1979 to 1986, she hosted a daily children's TV show. This show was broadcast from the Funkausstellung, a big German radio exhibition in Berlin. She also hosted a weekly sports show for kids and teens called Pfiff. From 1978 to 1980, she hosted a show called Moment mal on RTL.
In 1986, she joined SWF3 as an editor. She later became a presenter there until 1998. Since 1989, Anke has also sung with the band Fred Kellner und die famosen Soul Sisters. She joined the SWF3-Comedy-Ensemble Gagtory in 1993.
Comedy and Voice Acting
From 1996 to 2000, Anke was a big part of Die Wochenshow on Sat.1. This was a very popular comedy TV show in Germany. She worked alongside other famous comedians like Bastian Pastewka.
In 2003, Anke Engelke and Olli Dittrich won an award called the Grimme-Preis. They won it for their amazing improv show Blind Date 2 – Taxi nach Schweinau.
Anke is also famous for her voice acting. In December 2003, she was the German voice of the fish Dory in the animated movie Finding Nemo. In the original English version, Dory was voiced by Ellen DeGeneres. Anke also voiced Jane Porter in the German version of the Disney movie Tarzan.
You might also know Anke from the successful sketch comedy show Ladykracher on Sat.1. In 2004, she hosted her own late-night show called Anke Late Night.
Since 2006, Anke Engelke has been the German voice of Marge Simpson on The Simpsons. She took over the role after the previous voice actress, Elisabeth Volkmann, passed away. Anke's first episode as Marge aired in Germany in January 2007.
Hosting Big Events
Anke Engelke has hosted many important events. In December 2009, she hosted the European Film Awards ceremony. She hosted this event again in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
In May 2011, she hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf. She hosted it alongside Stefan Raab and Judith Rakers.
The next year, in 2012, Anke was the spokesperson for Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. This event was held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Before giving Germany's votes, she spoke about human rights in the host country. She said: "Tonight nobody could vote for their own country. But it is good to be able to vote. And it is good to have a choice. Good luck on your journey, Azerbaijan. Europe is watching you." She was the only spokesperson to talk about human rights during the show. She was also one of Germany's national judges for the contest that year.
In February 2013, Anke continued her involvement with Eurovision. She hosted Unser Song für Malmö, which is Germany's national final to choose their song for the contest.
