Judy Valerie Cornwell (born 22 February 1940) is a talented English actress and writer. She is most famous for playing Daisy in the popular British TV show Keeping Up Appearances (1990–1995). She also played Anya Claus in the Christmas movie Santa Claus: The Movie (1985). In recent years, she has been known for playing the detective Miss Marple in many stage plays, including A Murder is Announced from 2015 to 2016.

About Judy Cornwell
Judy Cornwell's father worked in the RAF (Royal Air Force). She grew up in Britain and went to a convent school with another famous actress, Penelope Keith. Later, she attended Saint Michael Boarding school in Heacham, Norfolk. After that, her family moved to Australia.
Judy has written about her childhood adventures in her autobiography, Adventures of a Jelly Baby. Her career has included many different roles. She acted in radio shows like The Navy Lark and plays such as Oh! What A Lovely War. She even had her own TV comedy series called Moody and Pegg. She also spent a season performing with the famous Royal Shakespeare Company.

Judy also had a role in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. She played Queenie Trott, who was the strict mother of Heather Trott. In 1987, she played Rosemary Tuttle, an English spinster, in an episode of Rumpole of the Bailey.
However, Judy is most recognized for her role as Daisy in the popular sitcom Keeping Up Appearances. She appeared in all 44 episodes of the show, which ran for five series from 1990 to 1995. Daisy was a lovable, working-class housewife. In 2014, Judy also appeared in an episode of Birds of a Feather.
Judy's Books
Besides acting, Judy Cornwell is also a writer. She has published her autobiography called Adventures of a Jelly Baby. This book came out in 2005 and tells the story of her childhood. It describes growing up in Britain during the war and then moving to Australia with her family.
She has also written several novels. These include Cow and Cow Parsley (1985), Fishcakes at the Ritz (1989), The Seventh Sunrise (1994), and Fear and Favour (1996).
Judy's Family Life
Judy Cornwell married John Kelsall Parry on 18 December 1960. They have one son together. The couple lives in Brighton, a city on the south coast of England. John Kelsall Parry used to work as a reporter for a newspaper called The Argus in Brighton.
