Julio César Álvarez Montelongo (born April 11, 1983), known as Julión Álvarez, is a singer from Mexico. He is famous for his regional Mexican music.

About Julión Álvarez
Julión Álvarez grew up in La Concordia, Chiapas, Mexico. He started his music career in 2003. He joined a Mexican band called "Banda MS" and sang with them until 2006.
After leaving Banda MS, Julión decided to start his own music group. He named it Julión Álvarez y su Norteño Banda. This was the start of his solo career. In 2011, he married Nathaly Fernández.
Becoming a TV Coach
In 2014, Julión Álvarez became a coach on a popular Mexican TV show called La Voz... Mexico. This show is like "The Voice" in other countries. He helped young singers improve their skills. His team won the competition that season with his student, Guido Rochin.

Touring in the United States
In May 2016, Julión Álvarez announced a big tour in the United States. This was a special event because it was one of the first times a regional Mexican artist had such a large arena tour.
In August 2017, there was a temporary issue that stopped his performances in the United States. However, after working with authorities for five years, this issue was resolved in June 2022. This meant he could perform and do business in the U.S. again.
In May 2025, his U.S. visa was temporarily canceled, which led to a concert in Arlington, Texas being called off. However, in mid-April 2025, he returned to the U.S. for the first time in eight years. He performed three sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
