Julian Lawrence Gargiulo is an Italian-American musician who is famous for playing the piano and writing his own classical music. He is often called the "Pianist with the Hair" and is known for making his concerts fun and interactive, often sharing funny stories with the audience.
A Pianist's Journey
Julian Gargiulo was born in the beautiful city of Naples, Italy. From a young age, he dedicated his life to mastering the piano. His studies took him to amazing places around the world. He learned from great teachers in Italy and at the famous Moscow Conservatory in Russia.
In 1995, he moved to the United States to continue his education. He studied at several top universities, including Rowan University and the Peabody Institute. He earned a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree, which is one of the highest degrees a musician can achieve.

Today, Dr. Gargiulo is the artistic director for two major music events. This means he is the creative leader who plans the performances.
