Julie Cobb (born in 1947) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in TV shows like Charles in Charge and for her work in plays like After the Fall. Her father was the famous actor Lee J. Cobb.
Early life
Cobb was born in Los Angeles, California. Her parents were both actors: her father was Lee J. Cobb and her mother was Helen Beverley. She went to Beverly Hills High School and studied at San Francisco State College for two years.
Career
Cobb's acting career has lasted over 40 years! She has mostly appeared as a guest star on many different television shows.
Her very first role was in an episode of Star Trek in 1968. She also appeared on Gunsmoke in 1974, where she played a daughter reuniting with her father. Interestingly, her real-life father, Lee J. Cobb, played her father in that episode!
You might also know her from The Brady Bunch (1971), where she played Greg Brady's high school crush. She was also in an early episode of Little House on the Prairie. Cobb played the mom of the Pembroke family in the first season of the sitcom Charles in Charge.
She has also acted in movies like Just You and Me, Kid (1979), Defending Your Life (1991), and Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde (1995). She appeared in TV movies too, such as Salem's Lot (1979) and Brave New World (1980). As a stage actress, she won an award for her role in the play After the Fall.
Personal life
Cobb married actor James Cromwell in 1986. They later divorced in 2005.
