Julie Trustrup Jensen (born 6 April 1994) is a talented Danish footballer. She plays as a midfielder, which means she helps both defend and attack on the field. Julie has played for the Danish national team and for Vålerenga in Norway.
Playing for Clubs
Julie Trustrup Jensen started her football journey at B73 Slagelse. She played there until 2009. After that, she joined Brøndby IF, a well-known club.
Time at Brøndby IF
Julie had a great season in 2010–11. Her excellent performance led to her being named Denmark's Young Player of the Year. This award recognizes the best young player in the country.
She helped Brøndby IF win the Danish Women's Cup. In the final match, she scored a goal. Brøndby won 3–2 against their rivals, Fortuna Hjørring.
In 2014, Julie decided to take a break from football. She wanted to travel around the world. However, she soon returned to play for Brøndby. In June 2015, she scored another winning goal in the Cup final. This time, it was an injury time goal against Fortuna. Brøndby won that match 2–1.
After playing for Brøndby IF for many years, Julie moved to Norway. She joined the club Vålerenga in 2018.
Playing for Denmark
Julie Trustrup Jensen also played for her country. She made her first appearance for the Denmark women's national football team in September 2013.
Her debut match was a friendly game against Hungary. She came on as a substitute in the 53rd minute. Denmark won that game 4–0. Julie was also part of the Danish team that played in the 2016 Algarve Cup. This is a big international football tournament for women's national teams.
