Jumpei Takaki (高木 純平, Takaki Jumpei, born September 1, 1982) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender, which means he helped protect his team's goal. Takaki spent most of his career playing for Japanese clubs like Shimizu S-Pulse and Consadole Sapporo. He was known for playing on the left side of the field, sometimes as a midfielder and sometimes as a defender.

Jumpei Takaki's Football Journey

Jumpei Takaki was born in Kumamoto, Japan, on September 1, 1982. He started his professional football career with Shimizu S-Pulse. This club plays in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league.

Early Career at Shimizu S-Pulse

Takaki joined Shimizu S-Pulse in 2001 after playing for their youth team. Even though he wasn't always a starting player, he played in many matches. He often played as a left-sided midfielder, helping both attack and defense.

During his first time with Shimizu S-Pulse, the team had some great moments. They won the 2001 Emperor's Cup, a major football tournament in Japan. They also finished second in the 2005 Emperor's Cup and the 2008 J.League Cup.

Moving to Consadole Sapporo

In July 2010, Takaki moved to Consadole Sapporo. This club was in the J2 League, which is the second division of Japanese football. Here, he became a regular player. He played as a left-sided midfielder and also as a side back.

His time at Consadole Sapporo was successful. The team played well and was promoted to the J1 League in 2012. This meant they moved up to Japan's top football division.

Return to Shimizu S-Pulse and Later Clubs

In 2013, Takaki returned to his first club, Shimizu S-Pulse. However, he didn't get to play as much this time. In March 2015, he moved to another J1 League club, Montedio Yamagata. He played as a right-sided midfielder and side back there. Unfortunately, Montedio Yamagata was moved down to the J2 League at the end of the 2015 season.

In 2016, Takaki joined Tokyo Verdy, a club in the J2 League. He played many games as a right midfielder. However, his chances to play became fewer from the middle of 2016. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2017 season.
