Playing Career

Early Career and First Club

Jun Aoyama was born in Sendai, Japan, on January 3, 1988. He started his football journey with the youth team of Nagoya Grampus Eight. In 2006, he officially joined the main team, which later became known as Nagoya Grampus. However, he didn't get many chances to play in matches during his time there.

Moving to Other Clubs

In May 2008, Jun Aoyama moved to Cerezo Osaka, a club in the J2 League. Here, he played in many more matches, showing his skills on the field.

In 2009, he joined Tokushima Vortis and became a regular player for the team. This meant he played almost every game.

Time with Urawa Reds and Return to Vortis

In 2011, Aoyama moved to Urawa Reds, a club in the top division, the J1 League. But just like at Nagoya Grampus, he found it hard to get playing time.

So, in 2012, he returned to Tokushima Vortis. He played a lot of matches again, and his team had a great season. At the end of the 2013 season, Tokushima Vortis was promoted to the J1 League!

Later Career and Retirement

Even though his team was in the top league, Jun Aoyama's chances to play started to decrease. After one season, Tokushima Vortis was relegated back to the J2 League. Jun Aoyama decided to retire from football in July 2015.

National Team Experience

Playing for Japan U-20

Jun Aoyama also played for Japan's national youth teams. In July 2007, he was chosen to be part of the Japan U-20 national team.

He played in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which is a big tournament for young players from all over the world. In this competition, he played in three matches as a defensive midfielder. He even scored a goal for Japan in their 3–1 win against Scotland!
