Justin Paul Williams (born August 20, 1995) is an American professional baseball player. He plays as an outfielder. Justin has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Tampa Bay Rays and St. Louis Cardinals. He is currently a free agent, meaning he is not signed with any team.

Early Baseball Days

Justin Williams grew up in Houma, Louisiana. He went to Terrebonne High School. During his time there, he was a great baseball player. He hit 22 home runs and had 67 runs batted in (RBI) in 79 games.

After high school, Justin was chosen by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. This meant they wanted him to play for their team.

Starting Professional Baseball

Playing for the Diamondbacks

Instead of going to college, Justin signed with the Diamondbacks. He started his professional career with their minor league teams. He played for the Arizona League Diamondbacks, Missoula Osprey, and South Bend Silver Hawks. In his first year, he hit for a .351 batting average. He also hit one home run in 51 games.

In 2014, he continued to play for Missoula and South Bend. He played 74 games, hitting four home runs and getting 46 RBIs.

Time with the Tampa Bay Rays

In November 2014, Justin was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays. He played for several of their minor league teams. In 2015, he played for the Bowling Green Hot Rods and Charlotte Stone Crabs. He hit seven home runs and had 48 RBIs.

In 2016, he played for Charlotte and the Montgomery Biscuits. He hit ten home runs and had 59 RBIs. The next year, 2017, he played for Montgomery again. He hit 14 home runs and had 72 RBIs in 96 games.

The Rays added Justin to their main roster after the 2017 season. This meant he was closer to playing in the big leagues. He made his first appearance in Major League Baseball on July 21, 2018.

Joining the St. Louis Cardinals

On July 31, 2018, Justin was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals. He played in the minor leagues for a while. He returned to the major leagues on September 16, 2020.

In 2021, Justin made the Cardinals' Opening Day roster. This was a big achievement. He hit his first major league home run on April 16, 2021. It was against the Philadelphia Phillies. He played 51 games that year, hitting four home runs and getting 11 RBIs. After that season, he became a free agent.
