Kairat Nurtas (born on February 25, 1989) is a famous singer from Kazakhstan. He is known for his popular pop and folk songs. Kairat has been one of the most loved musicians in Kazakhstan, especially because his CDs sold so well.

Kairat's Journey to Stardom
Kairat Nurtas first performed on stage when he was just 10 years old. This happened in a city called Baikonur. He shared the stage with other well-known singers like Meirambek Bespaev.
He released his first song and album in 2006. But his big moment came in 2008. That year, he held his first solo concert in Almaty. After this concert, more and more people started to recognize him. His popularity grew steadily from then on.
In 2008, Kairat and his mother, Gulzira Aidarbekova, started their own company. His mother is also his manager and helps him with his music. The company is called "Kairat Nurtas Production" LLP.
Kairat has sung many songs written by important Kazakh composers. These include artists like Shamshy Kaldayakov.
Kairat's Movie and Awards
In April 2013, a movie about Kairat's life was released. It was called Ökınış, which means Regret. The movie told a dramatic story about his journey as a singer. His mother, Gulzira Aidarbekova, helped produce and support the film.
Kairat has also received awards for his music. In 2020, he was named the "Best Kazakhstani Performer" at the EMA-2020 awards. In the same year, he was also given the special title of honorary citizen of Shymkent.

Kairat married Zhuldyz Abdukarimova in 2008. They have four children together. Their daughters are named Alau and Sezim, and their sons are Narul and Khan.
Besides his music career, Kairat also owns a chain of restaurants. These restaurants are called Auz-T.
