Kalibangan facts for kids
Kalibangān is a prehistoric site at Ghaggar-Hakra River), India. It is on a triangle-shaped piece of land at the confluence of Drishadvati and Sarasvathi Rivers. A report on the excavations at the site were published in 2003 by the Archaeological Survey of India, 34 years after the completion of excavations. The report said that Kalibangan was a major provincial capital in the Indus Valley. Discoveries at Kalibangan include unique fire altars and world's earliest known ploughed field.
