Family Life

Kamal Addararachchi is married to Anurani Addararachchi. They have two sons. Before becoming a full-time actor, he also worked as an English teacher.

Starting in Theatre and Film

Kamal's first big performance was in a play called Ane Ablick in 1978. This was staged in Colombo. He then moved into films with Sagarayak Meda, directed by Gamini Fonseka. He became very popular after starring in films like Saptha Kanya.

Notable Roles

Kamal is especially known for his strong performances in films such as Saptha Kanya and Agnidahaya. He also starred in popular teledramas like Hiruta Muvaven, Rathu Rosa, Weda Hamine, and Dandubasna Maanaya.
