Kang Min-hyuk (Hangul: 강민혁; born June 28, 1991) is a South Korean musician, singer, and actor. He is often known simply as Minhyuk. He plays the drums for the popular South Korean rock band CNBLUE.

Career
Becoming a Star: CNBLUE

Kang Min-hyuk joined the band CNBLUE in 2009. The group first started in Japan. They released their first mini-album, Now or Never, on August 19, 2009.
In 2010, CNBLUE officially debuted in Korea. Their mini-album Bluetory and its main song "I'm a Loner" quickly became a big hit.
Acting and Solo Adventures
Kang Min-hyuk started his acting journey in 2010. He appeared in a movie called Acoustic with his bandmate Lee Jong-hyun. Soon after, he acted in his first TV drama, It's Okay, Daddy's Girl, on SBS.
In 2011, he joined the cast of the MBC drama Heartstrings. Another CNBLUE member, Jung Yong-hwa, also starred in this show. Kang Min-hyuk even sang a song for the drama's soundtrack, called "Star".
He became even more popular after starring in The Heirs in 2013. This was a teen drama written by famous writer Kim Eun-sook. He and his co-star Krystal Jung won an award for Best Onscreen Couple.
In 2015, Kang Min-hyuk became a regular on the reality TV show Brave Family. He also hosted the JTBC show Mum is Watching.
After a break from TV, he returned in 2016 with the musical drama Entertainer. He won an Excellence Award for his role in this show. That same year, he co-hosted the live music show Music Bank from July to November.
In 2017, Kang Min-hyuk got his first main role in a drama. He played a doctor in the medical drama Hospital Ship.
In 2018, he had a supporting role in the historical comedy movie The Princess and the Matchmaker. This movie was filmed a few years earlier, in 2015.
In 2019, Kang Min-hyuk released two Japanese songs, "Moontalk" and "On the Cheek". He then released an album with these songs and three more Japanese tracks.
After finishing his military service in 2020, he returned to acting. He starred in the romantic comedy-drama How to Be Thirty, which started streaming in February 2021.
In March 2021, he appeared in the MBC romantic comedy series Oh My Ladylord.
In October 2021, Kang Min-hyuk started his own YouTube channel, called "만취민혁 Hobby Binger".
In March 2022, he became a writer and released a book called Not Everything. There was also an exhibition for his book, which included items like mugs and coasters.
In September 2022, it was announced that Kang Min-hyuk would hold a fan meeting in Bangkok. However, it was postponed. Later, in October 2022, he announced a fan meeting in Taipei, Taiwan, for December 4.
Personal Life
Military Service
Kang Min-hyuk started his mandatory military service on July 31, 2018. He served in the 55th Division in Gyeonggi Province. He completed his service and was discharged on March 19, 2020.
Helping Others
On April 6, 2019, it was reported that Kang Min-hyuk donated 10 million won (Korean currency). This money went to help victims of forest fires in Goseong County and Sokcho. The donation helped with recovery efforts in the damaged areas.
