Kang Min-hyuk, born on June 28, 1991, is a talented South Korean musician, singer, and actor. Many people also know him as Minhyuk. He is famous for being the drummer of the popular South Korean rock band, CNBLUE.

Music Career
Starting with CNBLUE
Kang Min-hyuk joined the band CNBLUE in 2009. The group first started their music journey in Japan. They released their first mini-album, Now or Never, on August 19, 2009.
CNBLUE officially debuted in Korea in 2010. Their mini-album Bluetory came out, and its main song, "I'm a Loner", quickly became a huge hit across Korea.
Acting and Solo Work
Early Acting Roles
In 2010, Kang Min-hyuk began his acting career. He appeared in a movie called Acoustic with his bandmate Lee Jong-hyun. Soon after, he made his first appearance on TV in the SBS drama It's Okay, Daddy's Girl.
In 2011, he was cast in the MBC drama Heartstrings. In this show, he acted alongside another CNBLUE member, Jung Yong-hwa. Kang also sang a song for the drama's soundtrack, which was titled "Star".
Gaining Popularity
Kang Min-hyuk continued to act in more dramas. In 2012, he starred in the KBS family drama My Husband Got a Family. His role as a playful character helped him become more well-known. This drama was very popular, topping the weekly TV ratings for many weeks. It became one of the highest-rated Korean dramas of 2012.
He became even more popular after appearing in The Heirs in 2013. This was a teen drama written by a famous scriptwriter, Kim Eun-sook. Kang Min-hyuk and his co-star Krystal Jung were even voted as the Best Onscreen Couple at the 2013 DramaFever Awards.
Recent Activities
In 2015, Kang Min-hyuk joined the cast of the KBS reality show Brave Family. He also became a host for the JTBC show Mum is Watching. After a break from TV dramas, he returned in 2016 with the SBS musical drama Entertainer. For his role in this drama, he won an Excellence Award at the SBS Drama Awards. In the same year, he co-hosted the KBS music show Music Bank from July to November.
In 2017, Kang Min-hyuk took on his first main role in a drama. He played a doctor in the MBC medical drama Hospital Ship. In 2018, he had a supporting role in the historical comedy film The Princess and the Matchmaker.
After completing his military service, Kang Min-hyuk returned to acting in 2020. He starred in the romantic comedy-drama How to Be Thirty, which premiered in February 2021 on KakaoTV. In March 2021, he appeared in the MBC romantic comedy series Oh My Ladylord. In October 2021, Kang started his own YouTube channel called "만취민혁 Hobby Binger". In March 2022, he also debuted as a writer with his book Not Everything.
Personal Life
Military Service
Kang Min-hyuk started his required military service on July 31, 2018. He served in the 55th Division in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. He finished his service on March 19, 2020.
Giving Back
Philanthropy
Kang Min-hyuk is also known for his kindness. On April 6, 2019, it was reported that he donated 10 million won (Korean currency) to help people affected by forest fires. These fires happened in Goseong County and Sokcho in Gangwon Province. His donation helped with the recovery efforts in the damaged areas.
