Kareem "Biggs" Burke, born on January 19, 1974, is an American businessman, music executive, and producer. He is famous for helping start Roc-A-Fella Records. He co-founded it with Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Damon "Dame" Dash.

Kareem Burke was born in Harlem, New York City. He was born on January 19, 1974. He has several brothers and a sister.
Music Career
In 1995, Burke helped create the record label Roc-A-Fella Records. He started it with Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Damon "Dame" Dash. This company became very successful in the music world.
In 2004, Def Jam Recordings bought Roc-A-Fella Records. Def Jam had already owned half of the company before this.
Working with Artists
In February 2019, it was announced that Burke signed the artist Saint Jhn to his management company, Circle of Success. Burke was very impressed when he first heard Saint Jhn's music. He felt a strong connection to the sound.
Burke said that meeting Saint Jhn helped him think bigger about managing artists. He became Saint Jhn's manager shortly after hearing his music.
Film Production
In 2018, Burke was an executive producer for the film O.G.. This means he helped manage the money and creative parts of making the movie. The film first showed on HBO on February 23, 2019.
It's a Hard Truth, Ain't It
In August 2020, Kareem Burke announced that the film "It's a Hard Truth, Ain't It" was nominated for an Emmy award. Burke co-directed and was an executive producer for this project.
The film premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. It was shown alongside O.G.. Both films were made at Indiana's Pendleton Correctional Facility.
"It's a Hard Truth, Ain't It" shows thirteen men in prison. They learn about filmmaking. They also explore how they ended up in prison with long sentences. All thirteen men received director credit for the film. They worked with O.G. director Madeleine Sackler.
Some of these men also acted for the first time in O.G.. They got to work with famous actor Jeffrey Wright. "It's a Hard Truth, Ain't It" is the first documentary widely released that was directed by men still in a maximum security prison.
