Kareem Campbell (born November 14, 1973) is a famous American professional skateboarder. He is well-known for making a skateboard trick called "The Ghetto Bird" popular. This trick is a special move that combines a nollie (a type of jump) with a hardflip (a board flip) and a late 180-degree spin.

Kareem Campbell's Skateboarding Journey
Kareem Campbell was a very creative professional skateboarder in the 1990s. He appeared in several classic World Industries videos. These videos include New World Order, 20 Shot Sequence, and Trilogy. Many skateboarders still consider these videos to be very important.
His Unique Style
Kareem is often called the "godfather" of smooth street style. This means he had a very fluid and cool way of skateboarding on city streets. He later started his own company, Menace, which was part of the Dwindle Distribution group. He also helped create Axion Shoes.
City Stars Skateboards
After Menace, Kareem went on to create another company called City Stars Skateboards. This company is also part of the Dwindle Distribution family. Kareem still runs City Stars Skateboards today, helping new skateboarders and creating new products.
Becoming a Video Game Star
Kareem Campbell became even more famous in 1999. This happened when he was included as a playable character in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater video game series. Tony Hawk himself has said that Kareem helped make skateboarding more popular in the Black community. Kareem returned to the game in the 2020 remake of the first two games.

Today, Kareem lives in Dallas, Texas. He works on different business projects, especially in real estate. His nephew, Na-kel Smith, is also a professional skateboarder and a musician.
