Karel Roden (born on May 18, 1962) is a famous Czech actor. He is well-known for his roles in big movies like Hellboy and The Bourne Supremacy. He also lent his voice to the video game Grand Theft Auto IV.

About Karel Roden's Life and Career
Karel Roden followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, who were also actors. He first studied ceramics at an art school. After that, he was accepted into the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. This is a very respected school for actors.
Early Acting Roles
Karel Roden started his movie career in 1984. One of his first roles was Honza, a medical student, in a funny movie series. He also played Captain Tuma in Who's That Soldier?, a humorous film about army life. Later, he appeared in action thrillers like Dead Fish and the crime-comedy Shut Up and Shoot Me.
Becoming an International Actor
In the 1990s, Karel Roden lived in London. This helped him improve his English a lot. It also gave him the chance to work in international movies.
His first big role in an American film was in 2001. He played a criminal named Emil Slovak in the thriller 15 Minutes. After that, he often played strong, sometimes villainous, characters.
