Karim Findi is a well-known author and writer from the Kurdistan Region in Iraq. He was born in 1946 in Duhok. In 1974, he finished his studies at the University of Mosul, where he focused on English.
He has written many books on different topics. These include history, geography, languages, and literature. His books are available in English, Kurdish, and Arabic.
Karim Findi also helped start the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate. This group supports journalists in the Kurdistan Region.
He worked as an editor for several magazines. In 1997, he was the main editor for Karwan magazine. He also edited Dijla magazine, which was special because it was the first magazine from the Kurdistan Ministry of Culture written using the Latin alphabet.
