Karim Findi is an important author and writer from Kurdistan Region in Iraq. He was born in 1946 in a place called Qarqarava, near Duhok.

He studied at the University of Mosul, where he graduated from the English Department in 1974. Karim Findi has written many books on different topics. These include politics, geography, language, literature, and history. He writes in several languages, such as English, Kurdish, and Arabic.

He also helped start the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate, which is an organization for journalists in the Kurdistan Region.

Karim Findi has worked as an editor for several magazines. In 1997, he was the editor-in-chief for Karwan magazine. This magazine was published by the Ministry of Culture. He also worked as a secretary for the Karwan Academic magazine. Later, he became the editor-in-chief of Dijla magazine. Dijla was special because it was the first magazine from the Kurdistan Ministry of Culture to be written using the Latin alphabet.

  • Amedi in different eras, critics and analyses, 1997 (Arabic Edition). This book looks at the history of Amedi.
  • (P.D.K) During Barzani's Absence (1946-1958), 1998 (Arabic Edition). This book covers a period in the history of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
  • The Golden Jubilee of Peshmarge, 1999. This book was translated from one Kurdish dialect to another and from Arabic letters to Latin letters (Kurdish Edition).
  • Barzani never gives up, 2001. This book was also translated from Arabic letters of Southern Kirmanji to Latin letters Northern Kirmanji.
