Karim Salman (born March 4, 1965 – died December 2, 2020) was a famous Iraqi football player. He was known for playing as a defender, which means he helped protect his team's goal.
He played for the Iraqi national team from 1988 to 1993. One of his biggest achievements was playing for Iraq in the 1988 Summer Olympics.
Sadly, Karim Salman passed away in 2020 at the age of 55. He died from COVID-19 during the worldwide pandemic.

Life as a Manager

He managed Al-Talaba for a short time in 2012. Later, he worked as an assistant coach for the Iraqi national team from 2013 to 2015. He also assisted at Al-Talaba again.
From 2017 until his death in 2020, he was the manager of Al-Karkh. During his time there, his team played 103 matches. They won 48 games, drew 28, and lost 27. This shows he was a successful coach.
