Karl Ravech is an American journalist and sportscaster. He is best known for his work on ESPN, especially as the main play-by-play announcer for Sunday Night Baseball. He helps bring exciting sports moments to fans across the country.

Early Life and Schooling

Karl Ravech grew up in Needham, Massachusetts. He loved sports and decided to study communications in college.

He earned his first degree from Ithaca College in 1987. Later, he continued his studies and received a master's degree in management and leadership from Binghamton University in 1990.

Starting Out in TV News

Before joining ESPN, Karl Ravech worked at local TV stations. From 1987 to 1990, he was a sports anchor and reporter at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York.

After that, he moved to WHTM-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He continued in a similar sports reporting role there from 1990 to 1993.

Working at ESPN

Karl Ravech joined ESPN in 1993 and has been a big part of their sports coverage ever since. He is most famous for his roles on SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight.

Since 2006, Karl has been a commentator for the Little League World Series. This is a special event where young baseball players from all over the world compete. He has also called games for the College World Series, which is the championship for college baseball.
