Karol Kłos (born August 8, 1989) is a professional volleyball player from Poland. He plays as a middle blocker for the team Projekt Warsaw. Karol was also a key player for the Polish national team for many years. He competed in the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016 and helped his team become World Champions in 2014.

Early Life and Education

Karol Kłos was born in Warsaw, Poland. He attended the Miguel de Cervantes High School in Warsaw. On July 15, 2017, he married Aleksandra Dudzicka.

Playing as a Middle Blocker

As a middle blocker, Karol's job is to block the opponent's attacks at the net and to score points with powerful spikes. His height and jumping ability make him very good at this important position in volleyball.

Karol's Club Career

Joining Skra Bełchatów

Karol Kłos joined the Skra Bełchatów volleyball club in 2010. This was a big step in his career. He played for Skra for many years, from 2010 to 2023.

Winning Polish Championships

With Skra Bełchatów, Karol won several important titles.

  • In 2014, his team won the Polish Championship. This was his second time winning this national title.
  • In October 2014, they also won the Polish SuperCup.
  • In May 2015, they earned a bronze medal in the Polish Championship.
  • In February 2016, his team won the Polish Cup.
  • In April 2016, they again won a bronze medal in the Polish Championship.
  • In the 2017–18 season, Skra Bełchatów won both the Polish SuperCup and the Polish Championship.
  • They also won the Polish SuperCup in 2018–19.

Moving to Other Clubs

After many successful years with Skra Bełchatów, Karol Kłos moved to Asseco Resovia in 2023. He played there until 2025. During his time with Asseco Resovia, the team won the CEV Cup in the 2023–24 season. In 2025, he returned to Projekt Warsaw, the club where he started his professional career.

Karol's National Team Career

Becoming a World Champion

Karol Kłos was a very important player for the Polish national team.

  • On September 21, 2014, he helped Poland win the title of World Champion.
  • After this amazing win, he also received a special award as the Best Middle Blocker of the tournament.
  • On October 27, 2014, the Polish President, Bronisław Komorowski, gave Karol the Gold Cross of Merit. This award was for his great sports achievements and for promoting Poland around the world.

Karol Kłos continued to achieve success with the Polish national team:

  • In April 2015, he was chosen as the new captain of the national team.
  • He won a silver medal at the 2022 World Championship.
  • He also won a silver medal at the 2019 FIVB World Cup and a bronze medal in 2015.
  • In the FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League, he won a gold medal in 2023, a silver medal in 2021, and bronze medals in 2019, 2022, and 2024.
  • He earned a bronze medal at the 2011 FIVB World League.
