Her Early Life and Learning
Kartz Ucci studied at York University in Toronto, Canada. She earned two special art degrees: a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA). She also got a Master of Arts (MA) in Interdisciplinary Studies, which means she studied many different subjects together.
After finishing her studies, Kartz Ucci taught at several universities in Canada. These included York University, McMaster University, and Ryerson University (which is now called Toronto Metropolitan University). In 2004, she moved to the United States and joined the faculty at the University of Oregon. By 2010, she earned "tenure," which means she had a permanent teaching position there.
