Early Life and Dreams
Kash Doll was born on March 14, 1989, and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. She is the oldest of six children. From a young age, she started working to help her single mother support their family. Kash Doll always wanted to rap. She began freestyling and writing her own song lyrics when she was a young girl.
She went to Henry Ford College to study business management but left after one year. To help her family financially, Kash Doll took on various jobs. While working, she would often rap. She eventually started earning money from people who enjoyed her rapping.
Music Journey
Early in her career, Kash Doll performed in local clubs, schools, and charity events around Detroit. She later signed a deal with a local recording company, but it did not work out. After that, she started using social media to connect with fans. She posted short videos of herself rapping, which helped her gain a large following.

That same year, she released her mixtape, Keisha vs Kash Doll. In December 2017, Kash Doll was featured on Big Sean and Metro Boomin's song "So Good".
After leaving her first record deal, she released an EP called The Vault on July 16, 2018. An EP is like a mini-album with fewer songs. One music video from The Vault, "For Everybody", was watched over 10 million times on YouTube.
On her birthday in 2018, she released a mixtape called Brat Mail. She dedicated it to her fans, whom she calls "Bratz." In August 2018, Kash Doll signed a record deal with Republic Records. Her first song with Republic Records was "Ice Me Out." In April 2019, Kash Doll released "Hustla," a song that talks about her experiences working hard. She wanted to bring attention to and support women who work in similar ways. On June 7, 2019, Kash Doll released "Kitten," which features American rapper Lil Wayne.
