Katie Irene Gosselin (born March 28, 1975) is a former television personality from the United States. She became well-known for appearing on the reality TV show Jon & Kate Plus 8. This show followed her and Jon Gosselin as they raised their large family, which included sextuplets (six children born at once) and twins.

Early Life and Education
Katie Irene Kreider was born in 1975 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Her parents were Charlene and Kenton Kreider, who was a pastor. Kate is the third of five children. She has three sisters and one brother. She studied nursing at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center and became a registered nurse.
Career Highlights
Kate Gosselin started her career as a nurse helping mothers give birth in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. She met Jon Gosselin in 1997, and they got married in 1999. Kate had some health conditions that made it hard to get pregnant naturally, so she used medical help.
On October 8, 2000, she gave birth to twin girls, Cara Nicole and Madelyn "Mady" Kate. They were born a bit early. Later, on May 10, 2004, she gave birth to sextuplets in Hershey, Pennsylvania. These six children were sons Aaden Jonathan, Collin Thomas, and Joel Kevin, and daughters Alexis Faith, Hannah Joy, and Leah Hope. The sextuplets were also born early and needed special medical care at first.
Life on Reality Television
After the sextuplets were born, the Gosselin family appeared on a TV show called Home Delivery. Their house was made bigger to fit their large family.
Then, they were featured in two special TV shows on Discovery Health. These specials showed what life was like with sextuplets and twins. Because these shows were very popular, Discovery Health decided to create a regular series called Jon & Kate Plus 8. This show started in April 2007 and showed the family's daily life. The family was filmed several days a week. The show first aired on Discovery Health Channel and then moved to The Learning Channel (TLC).
In 2009, the show's name changed to Kate Plus 8. This happened after Kate and Jon separated. The show continued to follow Kate as a single mother. The show aired its final episode in September 2011.
Kate Gosselin also appeared on other TV shows. She was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in 2010. In 2013, she and her children were on an episode of Celebrity Wife Swap.
Kate Plus 8 returned for new seasons in 2015 and 2016. In 2019, Kate starred in a new show called Kate Plus Date, where she went on dates. In 2023, she appeared on the reality show Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, but she had to leave early due to an injury.

Kate Gosselin has written three non-fiction books. Her first book, Multiple Blessings, was published in 2008. It was a bestseller and sold many copies. Her second book, Eight Little Faces, came out in 2009 and was also a bestseller. Her third book, I Just Want You To Know, was released in 2010.

After the divorce, Kate Gosselin and her ex-husband had disagreements about their children. In 2018, it was reported that their daughter Hannah was living with her father, Jon. Later that year, Jon also gained custody of their son Collin. As of 2018, Kate and Jon communicate through their lawyers.
Personal Life
In March 2021, Kate Gosselin moved to Troutman, North Carolina, with four of her children: Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel. As of 2019, her twin daughters, Cara and Mady, were attending college in New York. They stayed with their mother when they were home from college. Hannah and Collin continued to live with their father in Pennsylvania. Collin joined the US Marine Corps in 2023.
