Katherine Marsh (born November 11, 1974) is a talented American writer. She is best known for her books for young readers, especially The Night Tourist (2007) and Nowhere Boy (2018). Before becoming a full-time writer, Katherine Marsh was a high school teacher. She later moved to New York City. There, she started writing for popular magazines. These included Rolling Stone and Good Housekeeping.
Some of her true stories about New York have appeared in The New York Times. She wrote The Night Tourist, which won a special award. It received the 2008 Edgar Award for Best Juvenile Mystery. This award is given to the best mystery books for young people. The story and its sequel, The Twilight Prisoner, are both set in New York City.
