Kathie Emma Nukon, born on January 8, 1947, in Old Crow, Yukon, is a Canadian politician. She served in the Yukon Legislative Assembly from 1982 to 1985. She represented the area known as Old Crow. Kathie Nukon was a member of the Yukon Progressive Conservative Party.

Early Life and Work
Kathie grew up in Old Crow, Yukon. Her father owned a local trading post there. She learned a lot about business from him.
She went to school in Whitehorse to become a nursing assistant. This job helps people who are sick or injured. But Kathie mostly worked in her father's store. She was an office manager and a bookkeeper. This meant she managed the office and kept track of money.
Becoming a Politician
In 1982, Kathie Nukon was elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly. This is like the government's main meeting place in Yukon. She became a Member of the Legislative Assembly, or MLA. She represented her home area of Old Crow. She was part of the Yukon Progressive Conservative Party. She served in this role until 1985.
Later Career and Community Work
After her time as an MLA, Kathie Nukon continued to be involved in politics. She ran for election again in 2000. This time, she was a candidate for the Yukon Party. However, she was not elected back into the legislature.
Kathie also played an important role in her community. She served on the band council for the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation. She was on the council from 1996 to 1998. She also served another term from 2006 to 2012. The band council helps make decisions for the First Nation community.
